So often we fail to slow down long enough to take in the finer points of a moment. We glance around and only capture the overview. I find that sentiment and all that we find endearing is found within the details of a person or a landscape. This series is an attempt to pause long enough to extract the smaller points that are usually missed, and bring them out as the main focus.
The shadow box effect is an attempt to lend a 3-D quality to the images. I hope to allow you to feel as though you are staring out your window into the backyard and really see it for the first time.
